Testing & Transparency
At Lake Forest Farms, your trust means everything to us. That's why we go far beyond industry standards when it comes to product testing and transparency.
Rigorous Testing Standards
Every lot of our microgreen powder is third-party tested by Eurofins to ensure absolute purity. We test every batch for pathogens and conduct regular heavy metal audits. Our standards extend to every detail, including the pharmaceutical-grade, food-safe desiccant in each jar.
We believe in radical transparency. That's why we publish the complete, unedited lab results for every batch right here—no logins, no request forms, no excuses.
Zero-Tolerance Pathogen Policy
Absolute standards for food safety
We test every lot of our microgreens for the three most common foodborne pathogens: Listeria, Salmonella, and E. coli. Our standard is absolute: the result must be zero. If our third-party lab analysis detects any presence of these bacteria, the entire batch is rejected. No exceptions.
Heavy Metal Purity: A Difference You Can Measure
Superior purity compared to everyday vegetables and health guidelines
All plants absorb trace elements from their environment. What makes our microgreens unique - when grown using our specialized controlled conditions - is their inherently low uptake. Our data shows heavy metal levels hundreds of times lower than those found in common organic vegetables - a level of purity that’s exceptionally rare in real, whole foods. Any product claiming “zero” is either using loose detection thresholds or not disclosing actual results.
Lead
500× Lower Than Organic Spinach | 270× Lower Than Organic Carrots. Quantified by Eurofins using ICP-MS and compared to values in the FDA Total Diet Study.
Arsenic
Over 600× Below California’s Prop 65 Daily Limit. Prop 65 sets a safe harbor limit and our levels remain far below this and other accepted benchmarks.
Mercury
Undetectable at the Lab’s 5 ppb ICP-MS Limit – the Industry Floor. No mercury detected in any batch using Eurofins’ most sensitive protocols.
Cadmium
260× Below Prop 65. 12× Lower Than a Serving of Organic Spinach. Measured via ICP-MS against California thresholds and USDA organic spinach data.
