The Microgreen Margarita
Share
At MiracleMicrogreens™, we believe that better nutrition doesn’t require dramatic changes - it’s often about small, thoughtful upgrades to the things you already enjoy. This Microgreen Margarita recipe is a perfect example.
Originally developed at one of our favorite restaurants in Tucson, Arizona, this recipe combines classic cocktail craftsmanship with a subtle nutritional boost—courtesy of our ultra-fine microgreens powder. The result is a margarita that tastes exactly as it should—balanced, bright, and refreshing—while also delivering the phytonutrient density of 20 microgreen varieties in a single ⅛ teaspoon serving.
Why Add Microgreens?
Microgreens have been shown in peer-reviewed studies to contain significantly higher concentrations of vitamins and antioxidants than their mature counterparts. While we don’t believe in “hiding” nutrition, we do believe in making it accessible—integrating it into daily habits in ways that are sustainable, functional, and enjoyable.
Microgreen Margarita Recipe
- 2 parts high-quality blanco tequila
- 1 part fresh citrus blend (equal parts lime, lemon, and orange juice)
- 1 part top-tier orange liqueur (such as Cointreau)
- ⅛ teaspoon MiracleMicrogreens™
- BONUS: Rim the glass with a combination of salt and MiracleMicrogreens™ - for a visual and nutritional pop!
Shake ingredients vigorously in a shaker and strain into a salt-rimmed glass. Serve over ice or up, depending on preference.
A Note on Flavor
MiracleMicrogreens™ is designed to integrate seamlessly into liquids without altering flavor or texture when used as directed. In this recipe, the powder dissolves fully, leaving the profile of the margarita unchanged while subtly increasing its nutrient content.
We don’t recommend alcohol for its health benefits - but for those who choose to enjoy an adult beverage, this is a thoughtful way to make even a cocktail a little more functional.
